The State of Tennessee has passed a law known as the “Tyler Head Law” in memorial of Tyler Head who was the victim of a drunk driver. The amended version of the law is now known as “Shadow’s Law” in memory of Shada Lowe who was the victim of an accident in 2011. The law is very specific about what the state will provide. Mothers Against Drunk Driving has provided a nice article about how the law works and will the family members of victims to begin the memorial process. Please follow this link to learn more:

You are on your own to take the risk of doing this. Please be safe. I am very sorry for your loss. Be sure to take a picture of that and post it here should you build something. Jim Hill, founder.

I am not aware of a formal program offered by the State of Tennessee. You are then on your own to take the danger of building something. I recognize that many people do indeed build their own tribute sites. May God bless you through this terrible loss. I am hope that if you do get something placed there that you can place a virtual tribute here. Jim Hill, founder, Roadside Tribute.
