Alma Yoder at Co Road 215 Lawrence, Michigan

Alma Yoder, a girl just 8 years old, lost her life when the Amish buggy she was in with her brother was hit by an SUV in Van Buren County. Alma and her 12-year-old brother were driving their buggy north on County Road 215 near 60th Avenue when they were rear-ended by the SUV. Both children suffer critical injuries. Alma died in the hospital while her brother was listed in critical condition. Their horse also died of its injuries. The 31-year-old woman behind the wheel of the SUV and her 2 passengers were not hurt. The woman was taken into custody because she was driving under the influence of an unknown substance.
