  • One person was killed in a crash that happened on I-94 in Berrien County on Wednesday.
    The accident occurred on I-94. closing the westbound lanes between Bridgman and Sawyer around 7:30 pm.
    The initial report says that a semi-truck ran off the road and went through the cable barrier before crossing the median and hits the SUV.
    At the same time, another semi also hits the SUV before all 3 vehicles catch fire.
    The driver of the SUV, a 48-year-old man whose name was not released by the police, was pronounced dead on the scene.
    The drivers of the semi were taken to Spectrum Hospital in St. Joseph for treatment.
    The accident remains under investigation.
